San Francisco State University (2017 - 2019)

Bachelor's of Science in Biology with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Biology

Under the Cellular and Molecular Biology program at San Francisco State University, students are educated in the mechanics and inner workings of the cell. Courses taken include molecular genetics, cellular biology, and microbiology. After transferring into this program, I was fully able to explore and develop my interests in the molecular mechanisms of action.  As a CMB student, I also participated in directed and independent research.  

Skyline College (2014 - 2017)

 

Associates of Science - Natural Sciences

Under the Natural Sciences major at Skyline College, students are exposed to the field of life and physical sciences and how they connect with nature. Common transfer majors out of the Natural Sciences include biology, chemistry, and pre-medicine. This degree is what sparked my interest in a scientific career. 

Associates in Arts - Interdisciplinary Studies: Letters and Science 

Associates in Arts - Interdisciplinary Studies: Arts and Humanities 

The Interdisciplinary Studies degree is designed for students who wish to pursue broad areas of knowledge in arts and sciences plus additional knowledge in an "Areas of Emphasis." This degree is designed for students who wish to explore different disciplines (subject areas) before deciding on a definite major program prior to transferring to a four-year university, or for students who may not be planning to transfer but wish to earn a degree in a particular area of study that interests them.
